What to Pack for Morocco in February: Kids Capsule Wardrobe

February is an ideal time to explore Morocco! With temperatures slightly higher than the winter months but without the usual crowds, it offers a pleasant transition into spring. This February capsule wardrobe for kids visiting Morocco will make your trip even smoother.

During the day, the weather averages around 17 degrees Celsius, with evening lows of 7 degrees. While February sees more sunshine compared to December and January, there’s still a chance of rain, so packing a rain jacket is advisable when deciding what to pack for Morocco.

Just like in January, it’s wise to layer up for cooler evenings. Bringing along a jumper, cardigan, or rain jacket will ensure you stay warm. Towards the end of the month, temperatures tend to rise, allowing for the possibility of enjoying some sunny days. Consider swapping out heavier layers for a short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts for added comfort during warmer spells.

Essential Capsule Wardrobe for Kids in Morocco: February Edition

This time around, we’ve made some adjustments to the essentials, opting to retain thicker layers like jackets and jumpers. Our recommendation remains consistent:

  • 3 casual T-shirts (one short sleeve, two long sleeves)
  • 1 formal tops
  • 1 pair of jeans
  • 2 other bottoms (lighter fabrics such as linen are better for warmer days)
  • 1 cardigan/jumper/hoodie
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 1 rain jacket
  • 1 pair of trainers

You may also consider:

  • Warmer pajamas
  • A woolen hat

Layering Up Little Ones: Tips for Packing Light & Right for Your Kids

Always wear your bulkiest items on the plane:

Make sure to save space in your carry-on! We have swapped out a pair of shoes for a thicker layer this month, but it’s always best practice to wear your thicker layers on the plane. Make sure you’re wearing your jumper, rain jacket, and trainers while traveling if possible.

Light layers that can be built up:

Even though we are throwing in warmer layers in the fall for the evenings, the days can still be very sunny. So, by packing lots of light layers you will easily be able to mix and match layers to suit the temperature throughout the day.

Neutral color palette:

It’s best to stick to a small range of colors so that all of your items can be worn together. This allows you to have way more color combinations and endless outfit options.
