7 Budget Hotels In Marrakech to Help You Save on Your Vacation

Planning a trip to Marrakech doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune. While there are a wide range of luxury travel experiences in Morocco, you can also plan a Morocco trip on a budget. Maybe you’re someone that just wants a clean place to spend the night and prefers to spend most of your time outside. Or you just want to experience Marrakech but don’t have a lot of money to make it happen.

Whatever your reason, know that it’s entirely possible. These hotels, riads and apartments are a good place to start your search and potentially find the right place for you.

Riad Palais Calipau

The stunning 5-star Riad Palais Calipau is a highly-rated hotel in Marrakech. It’s located in the heart of the medina in the Kasbah district near Jamaâ El Fna Square. The riad is beautifully decorated and every corner has been thoughtfully designed, making it a great budget hotel in Marrakech.

You’ll also find a massage room, a hammam, and an indoor swimming pool where you can relax and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city in tranquil surroundings. If you want to treat yourself, spa treatments are available to book too.

Majorelle Piscine

Majorelle Piscine is located outside of the busy center of the medina area of Marrakech. These family-friendly apartments all come with a pool view or garden view. Each unit comes with bedrooms (complete with wardrobe), a private bathroom, a living room, a terrace, a dining area, and equipped kitchenette including a coffee machine and toaster (and more).

Riad Amira is a guest house located in the heart of the Kasbah district next to the Royal Palace. Rooms are contemporary in style and decorated in Moroccan colors. 

It has a rooftop terrace with views over Marrakech. Breakfast is included and can be served on the interior patio or delivered to the guest rooms. There is a restaurant on the property and children’s meals are available. 

Riad Dar Palmyra

Riad Dar Palmyra is located 7-minutes walk from Koutoubia Mosque and features a terrace with a Berber tent. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer, and rooms are individually decorated and include an iPod docking station.

Camel excursions can be arranged there as well as visits to Lalla Takerkoust Lake, Ouzoud waterfalls or Essaouira. There is also a steam room that guests can enjoy.

Riad Le Nid Bleu Marrakech

Riad Le Nid Bleu Marrakech is located 1.2 mi from Djemaa El Fna. They offer express check-in and check-out and there is a currency exchange for guests. There is also a continental or buffet breakfast that is included in the room rate.

All units come with their own hot tub, a minibar, and feature extra-long beds (> 6.5 feet). The rooms have air purifiers installed, a walk-in closet, and ironing facilities. Free toiletries are also provided. 

Riad O LY

Riad O LY is located 3-minutes walk from Le Jardin Secret. Other popular points of interest near the property include Mouassine Museum, Djemaa El Fna, and Souk of the Medina.

Each unit comes with a seating area. Bicycle hire and car hire are both available from the riad. 

Riad Belko

Riad Belko is located 0.8 mi from Bahia Palace. There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the property.

It has a kids club as well as a business center. There are units available on the ground floor that may be considered wheelchair accessible (though you should check your equipment will fit in advance).
