How to Pack a Basic Children’s Travel Capsule Wardrobe for your Trip to Morocco

When you start asking what to pack for Morocco one of the best pieces of advice I can offer is to consider packing a capsule wardrobe. As a mother, I am always asked about what to pack for children too. Perhaps it’s even more important that your children’s clothes work well mixed and matched together, as not only do you have limited packing space but children are always going to get things dirty.

Figuring out how best to pack a children’s capsule wardrobe for Morocco will help you simplify your packing and day to day care while on vacation.

Children's travel capsule wardrobe for Morocco Trip

During the main tourist season in Morocco, the daily temperatures range from around 13 degrees celsius in the evening to highs of 28 degrees on hotter days. In summer months, the temperatures can get even higher. This means your basic capsule wardrobe must be filled with many light fabrics that can easily be layered up or cooled down.

Here are some things to keep in mind when choosing what to pack for your children in your capsule for your Morocco trip!

Choosing similar colors

Keeping all your clothes along the same colour palette, or colours that go well together will make your life much easier. Here, I’ve used mainly blues and whites to keep it gender-neutral and easy to pair. However, making sure that all of your items will match well is important when you only have 12 pieces to choose from. This will allow you to mix and match endless combinations of outfits!

Light layers and cover up

Light layers are perfect for the Moroccan climate, as it means you can cool down with minimal layers during the day and wrap up a bit warmer during the night. It’s worth noting too, that it’s good to pack something which will keep your little ones protected from the sun. The stripey long sleeved t-shirt I’ve included here is actually SPF protected and long sleeved, making sure to keep your children protected from the sun.

Wear your bulkiest items on the plane

As a rule of thumb, always wear the items which take up the most space. This is probably not quite as important with children’s clothes as they take up less space, but might still be worth thinking about.

Shoe selection

Comfort is key with shoes. As with all travel capsule wardrobes, I’ve selected a comfy pair of trainers and a pair of sandals. These can both be dressed up or down, but most importantly – make sure they’re comfy!
