MarocMama is a travel blog focused on travel to and in Morocco. We have lived in Morocco for the last 7 years and traveled here since 2004. My husband (MarocBaba) grew up in Marrakech – we know it pretty well! Our website provides easy to read information from across the country – as well as other locations that we’ve traveled.
You will find a LOT of information and resources here to help you plan your trip to Morocco and I’ve attempted to break it up into sections so you can find exactly what you want.
If it’s your first time coming to Morocco I highly suggest reading this post on Morocco for first timer’s. It covers a lot of the major information you would want to know before visiting.
Getting to and Getting Around Morocco
Morocco is a popular destination and it’s fairly easy to access whether coming from North America, Europe or Asia/Australia. There are several direct flights to Casablanca from North America and Asia, while smaller cities like Marrakech, Fez and Tangier are typically direct flights originating in Europe.
Here are some posts you may find useful as you start planning this portion of your adventure.
You also may want to consider hiring a private driver to get around in Morocco. I know many people also like to rent a car but do be advised Morocco can be a difficult place if you choose to self-drive.
Morocco Itinerary Planning
You know you’re going to Morocco but where do you begin planning what to do and see?
Where to Stay in Morocco
This can be the hardest thing to decide! There is no shortage of options when it comes to where to stay in Morocco. Here are a few resources to get started.
The Weather in Morocco
Wondering what the weather will be when you visit? I have each month broken down with what to expect and ideas on where to go that month. Be sure to read for the month you’re going.
What to Pack for Morocco
When it’s time to start packing you might feel at a loss. I have not only broken down packing ideas by season but also by situation. Headed to the beach? I have a list for that! Going to the Sahara? I have a list for that too!
