The dad in your life isn’t the type that’s interested in an off-the-rack tie. No, he’s the one who is global citizen (hey you need help with those little superheroes!) What is the best fathers day gift for him? I asked MarocBaba for some help with ideas for father’s day, here are our ideas for gifts for dad.
Arguably this universal charger is great for anyone but I can’t count the number of times we’ve been somewhere and MarocBaba’s phone has gone dead because the kids were playing games on it. Or, their Kindles have powered down and the next time we’ll be near a power source to “juice up” is hours away. Dad can toss a leaf (or two)into his bag or pocket – just in case. We think a portable power bank is a must gift for any dad!
Chances are dad is always going to need his razor. When on the road, carrying multiple razors, shave gel, and other accessories is just a hassle. This razor from Philips Norelco works when shaving dry or with gel or foam. It’s cordless, and can simply be washed by running the head underwater. The best thing about this razor? One hour of charging time provides 50 minutes of shaving time, and if dad just needs to grab a quick shave? Three minutes on the charger and there’s enough power for for a quick shave!
A Good Backpack
If dad is running to the park or to catch his next flight, we love this ScanSmart backpack from SwissGear. It has enough compartments for all of dad’s stuff plus space to keep snacks and a water bottle. What makes this bag stand out? It has an easy access zippered compartment for a laptop that can be zipped open during airport scanning – without having to take the laptop out!
Not just any ear buds, but noise cancelling ear buds. Airplane, at the gym, or at home every dad wants a pair of these! Bose makes a fantastic ear bud but if that’s out of your price range you can pick up a pair of Panasonic ear buds for less than half the price.
Dual-Time Water Resistant Watch
MarocBaba wanted to add a good watch to the list. Even though most people rely on their cell phone to keep time, having a wristwatch is still a priority for many. On the road, it’s a must – you never know when the phone battery will die or a beach day calls for leaving it at home. We really like this watch, it’s stylish, water resistant, tells the date and day of the week, can show time in a 24 hour clock (a must to keep track outside of the US!), and has a digital display for one time and traditional design for another.
GoPro Hero 5
This might be our most expensive suggestion but it’s something MarocBaba loves! If you’ve got a dad who loves to travel then they probably also love recording their adventures. A GoPro HERO5 is lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for capturing family memories. There are multiple versions available so take a little time to compare and choose the one that is the best fit for your needs.
Forget the old clunky video projectors, for dads on the go this portable projector is great! It’s tiny and can fit in any piece of luggage. It can be hooked up anywhere and with just about any electronic device. Entertainment made easy!
We couldn’t put everything on our list of great gift ideas but hope this gives you a few new options. Whatever you do, don’t get dad another tie!
