I have to admit the creation of this burger was not only my own. I had the help and the labor was done by my husband. There is nothing that says summer more than a burger on the grill. It is THE smell of summer isn’t it? The problem at our house is that no one is a big carnivore. There’s no way I could eat a 1/4 lb burger. I’ve even seen advertising for even bigger burgers. Not going to happen here.
I found a really great deal on ground turkey and as MarocBaba and I were talking about possible ways to use it this idea took stage. It’s been fun as he has gotten more involved in planning and thinking about great meals. He once was stuck in this small box of food variety but has really been expanding his food world lately. Most of the ingredients in here we talked through but I’ll let him take credit for this little creation.
- 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup chopped Lindsay Manzanilla Olives
- 1/2 cup feta cheese
- 1/4 onion diced finely
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic
- 1 tsp each salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
