Welcome to my weekly favorites post!  Every weekend I will try to share a video talking about some of my favorites for that week.  Maybe it will be question/answers, or a recipe, or a meal, or any numbe of other things.  I’m hoping these posts will give you a little more personal look at who I am and who my family is as well.  You can subscribe to my YouTube page to get video updates there too.

  1. I’m so glad to find your blog, it’s very interesting. Such a great blog!

  2. Nice! I had my morning coffee with you, Amanda!

I would love to hear more about Moroccan cooking … like some easy menus, for example: a menu for a family dinner, menu for a dinner party or menu for a light meal for a book club.

I’d like to know which foods can be prepped in advance? Also, which foods are normally served together? I’ve read on your blog that Americans put the wrong foods together , like couscous with tajine, which are not normally eaten together by Moroccans. Also, I notice at Moroccan buffets that sweet things (like pancakes & honey) are served alongside savory main dishes.

Also, what are the healthiest Moroccan foods? I think we’ll all be making resolutions to eat better in January. I love those delicate Moroccan salads but have never tried to make any (except a carrot salad).

Thanks for the recommendations; I will be making chicken tajine with olives this week! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Amanda. Looking forward to hearing more.

Can you teach us something new about the people of or the culture of Morocco every week?
